The Ruby Theatre tickets & upcoming events

Ever been to a place that just oozes history and good vibes? That’s The Ruby Theatre in NY for you. Opened way back in the late 1950s, it was the original spot to catch the NYC premiere of West Side Story, talk about a legendary start. Over the decades, it’s stayed true to its roots, hosting everything from groundbreaking musicals to bold, inclusive shows like those celebrating LGBTQ+ artists in 2026. Honestly, walking into The Ruby feels like stepping into a piece of theater history with a modern twist. The seats up front are not just comfy but actually a bit bigger, which is perfect if you’re like me and love sinking into a cushion while watching a show. And if you’re picky about sightlines, their interactive seating chart is a lifesaver. Want the best of both worlds? Opt for the front row seats to really get close to the action or go for the luxurious VIP sections that feel more like a night out than just a performance. Plus, if you’re coming from the east side, just cross over to 8th Avenue and walk south, easy peasy. Honestly, whether you’re a seasoned theater buff or just looking for a fun night out, The Ruby Theatre has a little something for everyone, and it’s got that authentic New York charm that keeps bringing people back.
